I dont think the bbc WOULD sink as low to have a non journalist reading the news on its most watched programme.... bless but we will lkeave Moira to her little news bulletins on breakfast and well keep Sophie for the professional programmes.
Natasha did the Six a few weeks ago, and she is not a qualified Journalist. Moira has done the six before, during the virtual era and was very good. Its about time she gets to go back to where she belongs.

Yes she is - you do not need to have filled a report to be a jounalist - Sian never. Do you really think the BBC would have signed a young person to read the news who is not a journalist?
I was not saying that Natasha is no good as a presenter, i was just stating that Natasha has no formal qualifications to say that she is a journalist, she has a degree in English. But she has had the training of a journalist. Much to the same extent as Moira.

I never said you did.

What next ... Ed the duck on Newsnight?
Come on lads...
*AIMS GUN*
Taking into account she copresented the news for years and has worked at BBC News for 20 years I'd certainly trust her to tell me the news. Plus why do they even need journalists presenting the six, it's not as if they have any good interviews on it.

Well my point is Moira has had the same training. So you can't call Natasha a journalist and Moira not.

Yes i can. Natasha is a journalist. Moira is not.
How could anybody who has worked in broadcast news for the length of time Moira has not be classed as a journalist? Just because she hasn't got a journalism qualification doesn't mean she isn't a journalist. Many have told me that experience goes a long way in that field, not just academia. Moira has more experience than all of the current Six co-presenters put together!
