I think Sophie Raworth is a great news reader and its good to see her back but is it not sort of lousy for Sian Williams to be kicked off as soon as she comes back...

Not really - Sophie has a job, to which she has returned. Sian has been filling in for her for the last few months, but she also has a job (presenting Breakfast at weekends) to which she will be returning very soon I am sure. It seems entirely fair to me.
Not least because Sophie is clearly a better newsreader than Sian. Sian seems to have this air of superiority and arrogance that I've only noticed over the last six months. She was getting irritating on Breakfast, constantly interrupting and not allowing anyone else to speak, and I didn't like her style on the Six either. It's good to have Sopie back in her rightful place.
And Bill & Sophie next week? Again?! What's George up to, he seems to have had an awful lot of time off over the last month or so.

I am shocked at the use of that word crap to describe what is one of the most talented newsreaders ( together with Jane Hill ) that the BBC has - Indeed Sian did come across as arrogant and it is Sophie's job - I wonder what role Sian will have in the future - I would prefer to see Jane Hill stand in for Sophie when she is away and put that awful Sian on News 24.

Newreaders should be arrogant, they have very important information to deliver and should have a superior air. I'd rather them talk down to me than have the news delivered by someone who seems like a scroaty sixth-former (Sophie in case you couldn't place my description).

Maybe we'll see a lot of George over Christmas as seems to have happened the past couple of years. Having said that, Bill also presented Breakfast on Christmas day last year and the year before I believe.

I think Sophie might be having every Monday off, except this one; possibly because both Sian and Natasha are off, because she's off again on 6th December, it's a Bill & Sian fest! Bill is also on with Sophie on Tuesday 7th Dec with George back on Wednesday.

Look out for Monday 20th December, when Moira Stuart will co-present the Six!!!!!!!

Ah yes, the Bill Turnbull Christmas extravaganza - a lynchpin of the BBC1 Christmas Schedules for the last 2 (possibly 3?) years. I wonder if we'll get it again this year though - will all this Six O'Clock News presenting that Bill seems to be doing it's possible he might be allowed a day off this Christmas Day.
