I think that Sophie has been good and it is the first time that I have seen her presenting on-location. However, I do think that George has handled the presenting just as well. As a presenter, I prefer George but on home affairs and UK politics, Sophie just shades it.
It dictates in their charter that the BBC must be impartial in all political matters. In the Radio Times this week there was an interview with all the political editors (Marr, Robinson, Boulton) and both Marr and Robinson saying that they would vote - but wouldn't say who. Boulton says that he gave up voting when he became a journalist as his judgement often got clouded by his personal relationships with politicians.

She has been good, but so has George. I'm really happy with the Election Coverage - very informative. Just a shame the campaign has been quite dull. By the way, do the BBC have any particular favourite party or are they totally unbias? Wonder who Andrew Marr will vote for?

I assume Sophie's bus stint next week will just be the one day, then, Tuesday.
No Six on Monday because of the ultra left wing May Day Bonk Holiday, which the Conservatives would have put at a sensible time of year like October.
Traditionally, no heavy campaigning on the last day before the vote, Wednesday.
Doesn't leave a lot of bus stops available, does it?

Why do I have a vision of TVF's massing outside the bus wearing long macs and making suspicious movements underneath them?

I didn't see any other anoraks when I caught the Election bus parked down in Cardiff Bay last wednesday...
Here's some photos I took on my mobile, and also a thank you to Richard, the producer who kindly gave me a quick look around the bus as they were packing up

You know I was only thinking today that Sophie and Jeremy Vine would make a really good combination on the 6 - but then again I have always thought that Jeremy would be an excellent 10 anchor instead of Huw.

There was plenty of campaigning on the Wednesday last time....obviously no campaiging on the poll day itself (that rather odd day packed full of other news and pics of the party leaders voting....until 10pm when it's election solid for probably 24 hours).

Given the fuss caused by Labour when Maggie was replaced, mid-term, by John Major, they'll find it difficult to replace Bliar with Brown, one month in, without having their previous words dragged up and calling another election.
