I haven't seen it but the news broadcast is at 7pm. If it's as good as the news on Manchester TV it'll be worth just catching a glimpse. We wait and see.

Ch 219. No where near the quality of Channel M I'm afraid, but they are a tiny operation.
I haven't seen Solent TV at all, so I cannot say, but RSL's such as Channel M and Solent TV are trying very hard to expand their operations and trying to better themselves to the viewers, so that's why I appreciate them. Channel M is lucky as it's owned by the Guardian Media Group who have rather deep pockets and are seeking to commit to Channel M for the long term.

I wouldn't compare the two really, Channel M broadcasts to Greater Manchester with a large broadcast patch and a large potential audience. Solent TV broadcasts to the Isle of Wight which is quite a different kettle of fish.
The technical quality seems to have slipped a bit since I lived down south but I'd imagine they're trying new things and trying to get the bugs fixed. I'd imagine now they're on sky they'll become more of an Isle of Wight tourism channel than anything else, unless they think the rest of the UK will be interested to hear about sub-cat up a tree stories that is
Give me Frank Sidebottom anyday .
