Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic has been found dead in his cell at the detention centre where he's been held
during his trial for war crimes at a Tribunal in The Hague. Initial reports suggest he died of natural causes, and not suicide.
Yeah, the news channels have been rolling with this news since 1100, BBC ONE broke it with a news report, and it's been online for the last four hours too - but I'm certain that those without access to news websites, televisions or radios will be grateful that this news has finally been reported here.
itv couldn't break it until 12:45 because the Grand Prix over-ran.
I noticed CNN didn't cover it until it had been confirmed by the Hague, well after Sky News, BBC News 24 and Euronews had.

These kind of threads never really last long unless there's a huge change to the way the news is presented, like the Buncefield Oil Depot. I'm sorry, but I and many other people, are hardly upset at this news. It is big news, but as LDN said, it's everywhere already.
Only notable thing about this from a TV point of view is that in the first hour or so when it was a single-source report, Sky actually seemed to be much more cautious than News 24 for once, who had "Milosevic Dies" on the Breaking News strap for a while before changing it to just "Milosevic".
And, yes, CNN were virtually ignoring the story until it was officially confirmed.
