Live at five with Jeremy
Sky's China Correspondent Mark Stone has been arrested while broadcasting live from Tiananmen Square and continued to recored live the ensuing arrest by police. Very dramatic footage.

Interestingly they had it as their main story on skynews.com only for it to be completely removed and no mention of his arrest at the 11am TOTH.

It might have been based on legal advice that it won't do Mark Stone much favours if the footage is broadcast around the world?

A really good demonstration of today's newsgathering technology.... that's probably not something he'd have been able to do even 5 years ago.

I'm intrigued as to what they were using, especially as the quality looks pretty good. I would have thought that if there was someone outside the building with a portable dish or similar, it would have been fairly obvious that they were live. Presumably it was a 3G based system

Didn't he get the hint? If you are taken somewhere by the Chinese police and you hear "Everyone's got a price" and "It's all about the money, money money" over the public address system then you should bribe the police officer at the first opportunity. Mark Stone probably could have claimed it on expenses anyway.
