Martin, why when I said a lot of white, did you do a blue strap?
The main strap is rectangular and white, the left hand edge has the new globe fading out, the far right is simply solid white fading out.

If that's true...it may make sense from UK Sky bosses point of view, but given that it involves moving Sky News Ireland from having no Irish based competition to being up against both RTÉ News: Six One and TV3 News at 6:30, it does not make a lot of sense at all from an Irish point of view. It will be viewed here as commercial suicide / and/or Sky News Ireland giving up on its 7pm bulitten.
Surely there must be a better way?.

I don't know if it's been mentioned that the 7:00 Sky News Ireland is moving to 6:30. It makes sense to replace Sportsline rather than half of The Sky Report.

I have no idea, I was just speculating, given that since it is believed the titles will looks simular to your mock, it is quite blue and given DVEous has said that there is blue in the new GFX, it is logical to assume that is where it could be.

Yes, exactly that, giving up on the 7pm bulletin and opting for an early afternnoon slot. During Sky News Today pm maybe.

Thanks for the answer Martin, it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
it seems the images I saw and based that image on, are 3 weeks out of date, so who knows how they will turn out...

Harshy, the image above I made (with the studio backing) is a re-creation of the graphics based on stuff I have seen...
