That globe thing behind James Rubin isn't a newswall backing, Martin, it's a part of the set over to the left hand side.
Well you've obviously seen more of the set than I have so I leave it to your word, I would say, it could be a removable feature...
It was in the plans to have it. 99.9% that that is the grid globe

Both cat and gregmc are correct, It's the globe that obscures the ingest room window I believe

yeah I heard I rumour that the stuff produced by an outside company were hated so much that they were all ditched (even though they cost loads) and the in-house team have produced the ones that will be used on air.
