Sky News Thread - Relaunch on Monday

They're not bad, but not eye-catching enough. Somehow I think they will have been edited since then.

Don't think they'll look like that next monday- but this does reveal the "shape"- suggesting that the old slug is heading out.

We saw a very similar looking set for news24 before relaunch that looked remarkably plain and uninteresting- they were clearly designed to test graphics systems, size on screen, camera shots etc. without worrying too much about sylistic points. Does seem a very large gap to the left of the aston though- is this for a large "Breaking News" perhaps?

Hopefully they're not following The ITV News Channel's idea of the yellow box!

Apparantly Groaine is presenting from the plasma so something must be going on there too, I think it looks a lot better personally.

I just wouldn't think Sky would waste that space to the right of the text though, BTW is this what the supposed new graphics look like?

I would guess painting and new logos and mabey even new computers. Its getin very exciting!
