The set looks realy impressive, even if the image was a tiny bit blurred Smile

And there IS still blue, in the set....

From what I've seen of it, the primary blue and reds of the old set are staying, along with the black floor and metal.

The colour scheme, for the set at least, seems mostly unchanged. Doesn't really sit with the new logo, though. Looks dark and ''intense'', rather than the lightness of the red/white design.

I am rather pleased that Sky are not going for a BBC White/Red clincal look though.

There is a mix of dark blue and light blue, which really give it some life. I imagine the set is pretty adaptable, and plenty of space to move about.

In the new studio there is a backdrop for the roating news desk, and theres also a standalone set acompanied by a plasma, and of course a huge newswall as you all know!!

They have moved back tp the first format of Sunrise.... They are not in the pod this morning... I wonder why.... I guess its because of moving out, but why cant they use the pod? Camera's moved ?

Any sign of any promos yet?

Actually, I think I've just answered my own question - this thread would be going mad if there were...... Wink

Don't really understand the Rubin interview.

Given that he's actually worked for Sky before - prior to joining the Clinton administration - I'm a bit puzzled by all the ''I'm new to all this'' commentary in there. Seems a bit baffling.

And I certainly won't be tuning into Sunrise regularly after reading the Holmes interview. Arrogant c*nt.

I like the current music. Very like NBC i would think with an orchastra!

OOOOO Cant wait!

I'm not actually a fan of the current music, but it is refreshing to see Sky News actually sticking with a theme tune for more than two years running!! (Anyone who doesn't know what I'm on about, download the Sky News idents and openings for the 90s from TV Ark or TV Room - every single one is different). I liked the 2001-2002 style myself personally. Will it be a 5.1 Surround Dolby Digital mix with extra bells and whistles? i.e. can I turn on my surround and relax in a cinema of news?! Smile

I will give him a go, if his cocky ego is kept in check by his co-presenter and sky, I will continue to watch Sunrise. But what a big headed p****!!

As long as his depth of knowledge of current affairs doesn't let him down (and that's the crux), I think Eamonn could be a very good serious news anchor.

A few of you say that he's cocky, arrogant, full of himself, but it's the sense of assurance that you need in a news anchor. You don't need someone lacking in confidence. We always criticise presenters here for umming and ahhhing during breaking news. If Eamonn is so confident - and knows his stuff - this shouldn't happen.

Time will tell.

all new Phil
Michael Wilson presenting??!?! Never seen that before. Very good though.

Seems strange to see the presenters constanly behind the desk during the day. During Sky News today there seemed to be a much more frequent use of e-mails too.

I wondered whether the promos will start on Thursday, when the press details are released - then of course an advert every hour for 4 days will probably be more than enough!
