Media 247 has got 'Sky News widescreen' listed as starting on the 24th as well on the highlights page. So there you go!

Very Happy

Will News Active be getting a major new look too or just some tweaking here and there. They could do so much more with it...could they?

News active is getting a new look. We have already heard a description of the logo, and we know there is not going to be 16 screens either...

It will be interesting to see Sky News Ireland, and noticed no studio interviews with Groinge (Sexy) Seorge, so their set is probably changing too I guess.

The Evening Herald had a short piece with Grainne Seoige during the week. She seems (according to the piece) to think she's definitely going to get a slot on Sky News UK evenutally, but doesn't know when. Who they would have as SNI main anchor then is anyones' guess, but I'm pretty sure it won't be stand-in anchor Ray Kennedy...

As for SNI... I would presume all Sky will do to the studio is change the logo. The current Sky News Ireland graphics package is near identical to Sky News UK's so I presume we will get the new look in the 24th also.

Of course they won't use the old Sky News logo on SNI whilst SNUK has the new look.

Glad to hear Martin Stanford will be doing his own show, including a Technofile thing. At least this will break up the current 3 presenter slot schedule.
