Well, going back about 15 years here, Sky World News Tonight used to be on Sky Channel/One. I think this will probably be the first regular, Sky-News-produced bulletin on another Sky channel since then.
It does make the channel appear a little more well-rounded, and will avoid the immediate assumption that Sky entertainment channel = US TV imports (although mostly they still are).
I'd be surprised if Jeremy Thompson were to be presenting a watered-down news show. He's not really the ideal pick for that.

Yes, Dixon's doing Friday Sunrise, Gaisford's doing Friday 2-5pm.
That seems a bit dim really. Surely it'd be better to have some sort of logical continuity, rather than Eammon goes on Friday, Dixon moves from mid-afternoon one day a week, then the weekend Sunrise presenter covers for him...
Would it not just be better to have Steve Gaisford doing Sunrise Fri, Sat, Sun, and leaving Dixon in a regular slot so viewers know who to expect when?

On Eammon's website, says from 24th Oct he will present Sunrise, 6-9 am, Mon-thurs, so presumably Steve Dixon will do Friday,
This also confirms 24th is the relaunch....
