Let's see..... I did attribute the rumour to someone else so if it's untrue, I can wash my hands of it and pretend I never said it. Hmmmmm, maybe my journalistic skills have been influenced by the Sky News ethic.....!

At least the 24th of October now.

GFX package being redesigned AGAIN, server stability issues, still struggling to get formats locked down.

Is Eamon still going to start on the 10th or will his start date be put back in line with the re-launch.

He probably won't fit in the old studio.

I'd be surprised if he appeared before the relaunch, especially if they're having problems sorting out formats for programmes (I guess Sunrise included).

Why is the graphics package being redesigned again? From the capitalisation, you make it sound like it has been redone about four or five times.

Why would they advertise their new Sunrise programme in the new Sky magazine if they didn't have formats sorted, that would be a bit of a gamble now.

I think people in Sky are deliberately leaking these 'set-back' rumours just to anoy us, lol. And it seems really unlikely that they would be completely redesigning the graphics package so close to the intended relaunch. But who knows...I'll believe it when I see it.

Perhaps you could offer some details as to the changes being made, or to some of the looks that were dropped...

Most magazines have a long lead-time - so you wouldn't expect them to have had a final format set when they wrote the current article. If they waited for a format to be set before they wrote the article then the article would have arrived weeks or months after the launch.

Formats are always thrashed out during pilots - that is the whole point of the piloting process. It certainly wouldn't be unusual to still be tweaking in the week prior to launch, or even the day before... (Or days after!)

At midnight on Sky News, there seemed to be a differnt transition between the title and studio shot. Looked good, wasnt a fade, more like a white light shining

I've been watching Ginny Buckley on Sky for the past few days. I always liked her on the holiday programme and stuff, but my god she's a rubbish newsreader! She seems so uncomfortable, even shifty. And her delivery is very stilted, unlike people like Anna Botting or even Queen Kay. Is it just me, or do others feel the same?

I would have to agree with you. But give her time, she will probably find her niche and presenting style.

Afterall Denise was very nervous when she first started, but now she has settled in and found her style.
