If there's a lot of wood on the new set, I'm sure her presenting style will complement it nicely.

Be fair Cat, I remember the likes of Allan 'Luvvie' King and Kay Burley in the early days who were quite wooden. Say what you like about Kay, I don't think anyone could accuse her of being wooden these days. It just takes time I guess to get used to it.

Its probably also fair to say that we haven't really seen any new full time members of the Sky News presenting team for quite a while, so any 'new blood' is quite apparant.

Yeah, what was that about? Copyright row with who?

Presumably the composer or publisher of the music.

I reckon that 1 could actually be "Clever Glass" rather than a newswall as such.

I think a remember a mention of clever glass being used somewhere in the set, and it is used in the five news set too.

It just seems a bit daft to stick a whopping great big video wall right in the middle of a newsroom rather than at the side.

Didn't Sky News use 'clever glass' with the set previous to this one? Sometimes you'd see the newsroom behind them and then other times it would be somebody to interview or a picture behind them. I had no idea how it was done until I saw it switch from a screen to clear glass. Didn't know it was called 'clever glass' thanks for the info.

Anna Jones and Helen Fospero are both doing well on Sky, or at least I should say, they are watchable without incident. Nothing spectacular to report yet.

Haven't seen Ginny Buckley yet.

DigitalSpy now reporting that James Reuben is getting the 8pm-9pm slot, as "World News Tonight" (a title Sky haven't used in years).

Chris Roberts and Gillian Joesph getting 9pm-midnight.

Within that, Sportsline gets restored as an independent programme, airing 10:30pm-11pm.

It's great to have James Rubin back.

If I remember correctly he used to be Sky's US Correspondent and then left Sky to go and work for the Clinton White House (no chances of any right wing bias Very Happy

Great peice in this weekends Mirror. Ian Hyland real does have a widescreen mouth... *cough* Eamon *cough*

Not sure about the World News Tonight. Sounds slightly tacky TBH. Anyway I'm quite looking forward to see how this all comes together now.

Has Helen Fospero joined Sky News permanently or I'm I just getting mixed up as usual?

World News Tonight sounds interesting, pity they haven't come up with anything for 9-10 and 11-12.

An idea for 11pm would be a relaxed look back at the previous 24hrs stories, perhaps playing back some of the big interviews from during the day, and a look ahead to the agenda for the next day (which would include the paper review).

I can't recall him working for Sky before.
