Your response to it does rather confirm my thoughts about you.

God, I wish I was 17 again. Alas, there is more than one BBC World on this forum. I am very much the oldest of all.

Sky get it right again, sending Kay Burley and Martin S out to the USA. Does the BBC have anyone out in the region? I haven't been able to watch Beeb for a few days.

Back to Sky - I just caught someone called Helen co-presenting from London alongside Martin in USA. Who is she? She is very good.

Read the News 24 thread- they've had Sopel (and many others) out there for about 48 hours before the glamorous Kay "think of the children" Burley stepped off her plane.

Also interesting to note that Eamon Holmes returns to his Five Live Saturday morning show next week (10th Sept), so presumably his holiday period is over. I think this increases the likelihood that any delay in the relaunch (to Oct) has been due to the heavy news load in July, rather than any delay in the start of the new recruits' contracts.

I also presume this will be Holmes last series with Five Live, given that he's signed up for a weekend show on the Magic radio network (starting either later this year or early next).

Eamonn starts on Magic presenting for 13 weeks from 4-7 on Sunday afternoons from September 18.

Sorry if already mentioned... Monday October 10th is the date Eamonn starts Sunrise according to his new site. So I assume that will be the big day, or sometime during the weekend.

I think that's pretty much confirmation that Sky News will relaunch on October 10th as stated previously. Can't see them relauching on a weekend.

I also can't see Eamonn Holmes being on Sunrise every morning- given the information above he appears committed to radio shows on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. I think I'm right in saying he actually spends his time off in Ireland, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him doing Sunrise from Weds-Friday each week (after doing all weekdays the first couple of weeks following the relaunch advertising push).

This would allow him to work Wed-Fri for Sky, Saturday for the BBC (Five Live and the lottery show) and Sunday for Magic, before heading home for Sunday night- Weds morning.

Quite a busy man.

Formerly Helen Morton who was Fiona Phillips' replacement as entertainment correspondent on Sky News when Fiona went to GMTV in a similar capacity.

Strangely, when Fiona got promoted to the 'sofa', Helen left Sky to take over Fiona's entertainment role at GMTV.
