I'm very surprised that Vivien Creegor is leaving. I hope she's taken on by News 24 as she's a very professional and able presenter.

I always find her a bit scary.

That said, she certainly has a certain gravitas, something I'd say ITV News are seriously lacking in when it comes to their female presenters. I would think her presenting the late news with Mark Austin would be quite an interesting development.

I'm not one to gloat usually, but I do recall saying that it would be October back in February or March. I also recall being rubbished for it.

You're really asking for it, aren't you?

Given that even the people at Sky didn't know, and probably still don't have, an official relaunch date, I hardly think you are in any position to come on here and tell us all how right you were.

Pratt.

Asking for what? A slap across the face? Go on then. Rolling Eyes

Given that the October date was given to me by a person high up in the ranks at Sky News suggests to me that October was always a tentative - note the use of the word tentative - date for a relaunch.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter now anyway.

Amen to that! She's such a true professional and definately one of the faces that I associate with Sky News...but I'm sceptical about her "leaving" - I think it's more likely she doesn't have a definate place in the schedules (unlike say JT or Kay) but then who knows.

If she IS leaving then I hope the Beeb pick her up - she'd be wasted at ITN.

Indeed, David Mannion has said a number of times he wants ot promote from within at ITN. Also, what would be the sense in employing a woman who hasnt presented terrestrial news for over 16yrs? Shes a totally unrecognised face to most of the public and would never be given the so called 'top-job' at ITN over other ITV News staff. Someone is telling porkies!

BTW not sure if this has been mentioned but the new logo is being "harmonised" with thesky sports style.

No more blue in the logo.

No Curve, just a straight line, similar font to the Sky Sports logos, along with the white outline that they have

Working within those particular parameters, I have devised my interpretation of the logo.

I am, of course, only joking, but no doubt it'll do the rounds on the BBC Intranet shortly.
