A shame, really. I always thought she was a solid presenter and worthy of returning to a weekday slot.
But then there are tonnes of Sky presenters like this - Vivien Creegor, Paula Middlehurst, David Foster, to name but a few, who are left drifting in the pond because of the poor organisation of the evening slots.
It's a huge shame she's leaving - she was one of the reasons I started watching Sky News 12 years ago. I get the feeling there's a bit more to this than we know so far. I guess the two eight hour shifts at the weekend suited her with the kids, and they've been changing her a lot in recent months with her doing the odd weekday shift.
Cat I agree with you about some of the others like Viv Creegor, but again I get the feeling with her other work she doesn't want a full-time scheduled shift. Maybe I'm wrong, just a feeling I have.
I too will miss Lisa. Her chemistry with Allan King is good, I've seen her in fits of giggles with Allan sometimes during the newspaper review. A very likeable character.
We held the first camera tests in there this morning (Thursday 9th June) and I was asked to be the first presenter on set. That WOULD have been fantastic, but I had to dash off on a previous appointment and I don't mind saying I was gutted!!!
It is really looking out of this world, although unfortunately I haven't seen the new newswall in action yet. It dwarfs the other one so should be impressive!
Lots of people have asked if I will post some pictures of the new set on here, but I'm afraid you will have to wait. It's all being kept under wraps for now, but you'll get as many insights as I'm allowed to give on here! Keep checking back ....

Sky News today (Friday 10 June) announced two new presenters who will join the channel when it unveils its new look and schedule later this year.
Ginny Buckley joins from the BBC where she currently presents Holiday 2005. Ginny has worked as a presenter, reporter and journalist over 16 years and was the Motoring Editor at the News of the World for two years.
Also moving to Sky News from the BBC is Anna Jones, who anchors News 24’s 9-1pm strand. Anna joined the BBC in 1992, after four years as the editor of a business magazine. She spent three years as a senior producer in the BBC’s business department before moving to BBC World, as an anchor. In 1997 she joined BBC News 24 at launch as business presenter, before becoming a news presenter in 1999.
Head of Sky News, Nick Pollard, said: “We are delighted that Ginny and Anna will be joining Sky News. They are both first class journalists with wide-ranging experience. They will compliment the established Sky News team perfectly.”
Anna Jones added: "I've always been a great admirer of Sky News and am thrilled to be joining such a strong team, particularly at this exciting time in the channel's history."
Ginny Buckley said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Sky News. Everyone recognises that they’re the best in the business and I’m looking forward to being part of their plans for the future.”
Ginny and Anna will appear on Sky News for the first time later this year when the channel begins broadcasting its service from a new studio complex.
The change in its presenter line-up is one of a number of developments the channel has planned for later this year, when it will unveil new programming and a new on-air look. Sky News has already announced that it will be launching a number of single-anchor programmes presented by Jeremy Thompson, Kay Burley and Julie Etchingham.
Last month Sky News announced it had appointed Eamonn Holmes to its Sunrise programme.
Never been too keen on Anna to be honest, seems a bit wooden - wonder what slot she will present in?
Umm, Not quite sure who's celebrating. Sky clearly see something in her.
I suppose were'll see Anna's replacment been tried soon if its an August relaunch. Kate Silverton is a name which has been looking for a slot.
Still shaping up to be a good relaunch though. Am I right in thinking now the Emmon Homles and Anna Jones will be presenting Sunrise? If so I'll set the video!
Will Anna Jones be put on 'Gardening leave' as other presenters have, when both Dermot and Kirsty left ITV, or do you think they will just keep her on untill her contract is up.
Will be interesting to see if any more anchors are poached, and if any others leave Sky News.
