Awwww you've gotta love Steve Dixon - he's as big a geek as we are! I reckon he should copresent Technofile with Martin on Saturdays, he likes his technical stuff I believe.
As an aside, I've been rather critical of Emma Crosby in the past but I watched her this morning and she was excellent, she's changed a hell of a lot since when she was on Sunrise. If Ginny doesn't improve then I wouldn't be surprised to see Emma take her place.
Emma has improved alot recently. Steve works the newswall quite well, dont ask me why I think this, he just has the thing for it. Martin is better with VR, Steve with the Newswall.
The relaunch report with Kay Burley is continuing to air around 10-to the hour today (or at least was this morning). The version aired this morning is slightly shorter than the one posted early this thread, in that it seems to omit the piece about James Rubin and also has some more slight cuts to it (wouldn't read anything into that though, they're probably just cutting it for timing reasons). Good to hear the original "Great News" theme on Sky News once again - I know they didn't commission it and it was used by some US TV stations, but to me, its always been *the* Sky News theme, even if it sounds dated now.
The new arrangement of the current theme used on that Reach for the Sky site, if it is the new arrangement, doesn't seem to contain the melody but threathens to break into something not very dissimilar to the current theme.
Sky News Ireland... the logo doesn't look that great, but it possibly could have been worse - we could've got "Sky News Ireland" in a blue box like all the other programme names seem to be. Then again, Sky News have always tended to use the same font for all their programme names anyway so they are just resurecting that tradition.
According to a recent interview with the Evening Hearld, Grainne Seoige does seem to see herself moving to Sky News UK eventually. When is up to the bosses in Iselworth.
Eammon could do a stint at Sky News Ireland from time to time...
I would doubt that, Eammon has been given one of the top jobs at Sky News now. Mabey for publicity they might, but I would seriously doubt it. Grainne would probley start off on the weekend shifts at some stage, or mabey as one of the female presenters during the afternoon on Sky News Today, thats my guess.
Any idea if the weekend wil have regular presenters instead of randoms like now? Would love to wake up to Martin Popplewell every Saturday and Sunday...
I have to say this relaunch is getting less-intresting by the minute
Do you?
Do you HAVE to say it, or do you just want to make yourself sound like a p**** with no brain?
Why don't you stop posting inane commentary like that and endless requests for videos and wait for a few hours until you've actually seen them on-screen. No doubt then you'll be saying how wonderful, super-duper, whizz-bang, fab, and all those other words they teach six year olds. Better still, go back to your colouring in book.
I think breakfast is sorted.
Steve Gaisford and Emma Crosbie.
Then you have Martin Stanford and Adam Bolton.
After that you have Allan King till 5pm. There is no fixed copres at the moment (pobs Anjali/Ana/Helen)
Then finish off with Juliette Foster with your fav Martin or Kevin from overnight.
Thats what I have read, although does seem a bit odd having one 5 hour slog followed by a 7 hour one!!
The blue box programme titles seem to go with the original graphics package that has seemingly been dropped. So I doubt we'll see anything like that tomorrow (presumably if they do want the same title style for each programme it will now be blue capitalised letters on a white background (no box)?)

He won't even get to see them, he doesn't have sky, freeview, ntl or telewest!
