Another day of barely anyone on their normal shifts then!

Flicked over to Sky News, not something I do often, and saw Phillipa Thomas presenting:



Didn't take her long to get behind the desk did it! She's quite good actually.

mhm, the Morrell - Tomson partnership was the best Tyne Tees had post-Mike Neville.

Ridiculous decision to axe them after the Border merger and absolutely wasted as a weather presenter.

Lorna now presenting her sixth hour today. Only due to the megrahi breaking news?

That's what I was thinking. She was on from about midday when I first switched on the news, then now at 6:30 she's still on air. I'm surprised she hasn't been replaced, especially as there is no longer so much focus on the al-Megrahi story. There are the usual ad breaks every 20 minutes or so, why not have someone else take over?

Things have been odd pretty much since mid-week to be honest, it's not just today.
