I'm surprised they have Jeff on when his voice is like that, I like how he keeps apologising all the time
As I mentioned 2 posts ago, he couldn't even complete the coming up sequence before the 10 past ad break, they had to fade it out early. Maybe they had no one to replace him at short notice, however they must have known earlier that he was going to struggle. Although he's going to end up passing his cold to all his guests.
Reminds me of a few months ago when Joanna Gosling was just a croaky on the BBC News channel.
Rather enjoyable moment from Kay Burley this afternoon.
Chris Bryant MP did his usual (pathetic) attempt at winding her up, claiming she was biased etc etc. She managed to ignore it, up until they got to :56 minutes past the hour when the breaks automatically cut in and she said something along the lines of 'I'm afraid I have to cut you off, you can interpret that whatever way you want'
Edit: Beaten to it. I'm biased as I think Burley gets a hard time and can't stand Bryant but I thought she won this 'round'.
Totally disagree - she came across as a bitch with that comment!
Totally agree she came across very bitchy, spiteful and totally unprofessional. Presenters need to rise above and ignore any guests that try the wind up technique.
I side with Kay on this occasion. Surely the lawmakers of the United Kingdom should be above baiting and picking fights with news presenters. Chris Bryant is a disgrace.
Phillipa Tomson is a sickly presenter who was demoted to weather duties with the merger of the Tyne Tees regions. So a good greak for her whatever the role is. Hopefully not a presenter
