Not a position I think that needed to be created. I would think there will be a lot of overlap between Economics Editor and City Editor Mark Kleinman. They already have two fantastic business presenters/correspondents in Joel Hills and Darshini David and also roll out Jeff Randall on occasion so another "money" correspondent seems a bit excessive to me.
Jeremy Thompson back presenting Sky News at 5 from London with the extraordinary breaking news about the NOTW.
Can't help but feel he is struggling, long long pauses, basically asking questions the guests have already answered
Yep - thought Sky would be an interesting watch for this story - but Thompson's performance bounced me back to the BBC News Channel. Didn't really seem that across things. It's on this kind of breaking news that double heading really does work better.
Anna Jones seemed much more comfortable with the NOTW story than Jeremy Thompson did - and Stephen Dixon did a great job on Live at Five yesterday, covering for Jeremy. I just don't think they were anticipating this happening, and he wasn't prepared for it.

The fantastic Anna Jones on a double shift - back on at 9 live from Wapping, according to Twitter.
Anna Jones is extremely competant and should definitely get a weekday primetime slot on the channel. But, it's a shame that all you can hear is Clive Myrie shouting all over her from the position outside the Wapping base. Annoying, but the job must be done!
Have to agree with everyone else. Anna Jones is very good indeed. Warm, professional, competent - everything you want in a continuous news presenter. Sense of humour when appropriate, cool and calm when the news is breaking.
