unusual schedule these days on sky news. Yesterday stephen was on from 5 to 8 pm on, then matt from 8pm to 12 am. Today colin was on from 10am to 1pm and lorna is on since 1pm (plus anna botting is live in ichihara, japan)

Sounds to me like a revised breaking news schedule - more adaptable than the usual News, Sport & Weather format for evenings and weekend afternoons.

Today Paula is sitting at the main desk and she even had a voiceover
Shame that sky only let her presenting from 2 to 3 pm and then anna jones took over.

Wondering how the logistics work for Colin, Anna & Ian.

I'm assuming Colin is ok as he is in Tokyo and probably has a hotel room etc.
How about Anna & Ian? Where would they been sleeping and what access do they have to food? Must be very limited.

Presumably the crews take a lot of resources out with them. I can imagine sleeping arrangements would be trickier, though.

Stephen Dixon doing a great job on what will undoubtedly prove to be a very, very busy night of news.

I really hope that they won't bring matt smith for news at ten

I don't think it should be Matt, he's done enough, he does pretty well but I think it should be Gillian Joseph, but I reckon she was on Sunrise this morning and due on Sunrise in the morning too. Shame Lorna or Paula are on tomorrow either of them tonight would be just as good as Gillian but they will be on tomorrow I would expect.

EDIT: Stephen staying on at Ten

I think paula does a great job.She only does nsw and last sunday she only was on four one hour and then anna jones took over. Can' t understand why she is a freelancer and wasted on low level shows. If there is a lack of presenters like in these days a samantha simmonds would be essential also . Hope she' ll return from maternity leave soon

Maybe Paula doesn't want to work much, otherwise I am sure she would do something about it. No one would just do a shift they didn't like and no make a mention of other opportunities. Unless she has some other income? Where more work isn't required.

Maybe Anna Jones should be the next cover for Ten, Stephen and Anna Botting sometimes cover each other, or have done. I have noticed Gillian would then cover if it doesn't come close to her Sunrise commitments but Maybe Anna Jones should be the next to cover, if there is such an order. Anna seems to liven things up and not drone on like Matt. I can take in what Anna has to say and I think she is good at dealing with Breaking News.

Anna Jones spent many years as a main presenter (on as it was called then, BBC News 24) she was brilliant at it then... and I'm glad she hasn't lost her touch.

When she moved to Sky I'm sure she was on air as a general presenter anyway. I remember seeing her co-present with Colin Brazier quite frequently in the days when they had two presenters on air.
