Is Jeremy on holiday or is he covering the middle east crisis on location? Interesting that Emma Hurn has played no role in the Middle East crisis considering she is Afria correspondent.

Jeremy stayed on until 8pm 1 night a couple of weeks ago so he's probably having 2 weeks off to recover

Lorna Dunkley with Sky News at Ten tonight

Looks like they are testing out some new presenters overnight, Lukwesa Burak was on at 1 as normal but at 1:30 it was someone else, I think it's Gamal Fahnbulleh

Edit he's still on at 2am and it is Gamal Fahnbulleh

Talking of Lukwesa - I really like her but is anyone suprised at how much she stumbles when reading?

Sky have lost the plot on the middle east coverage. They really ought to be deploying like crazy right across the region, a la just about every other broadcaster.

Whilst they'll never be able to match the resources of the BBC (and neither can anyone else, from what I've seen of their coverage) they should be having a damn good go. I thought their Egypt coverage once it got going was good, but something's missing.

Where's the Sky News that gave us Kosovo liberation day and the fall of Baghdad? It certainly hasn't been in evidence in North Africa.

Looks like they are upping the coverage this evening. Andrew Wilson on the border, Alex Rossi in East Libya, Sam Kiley in Tunisia and Amanda Walker in Malta.

It's half term - she could be providing freelance cover.

Anna Jones presenting Live at Five today, just caught the end of the second hour for the weather.

Not sure where to put this but International Womens day promo aired just before 7pm on Sky News. Annie Lennox featured in it, mentioning to jon Sky on these channels and Sky News once again must be taking part. Good stuff!

EDIT: And I have now found a copy http://youtu.be/_OgQMK4W94g

I assume the LIVE Desk as normal afterwards.

Do you know the rest of the schedule as Sky doesn't seem to be parting with the information?

Not necessarily, surely that would fall to whoever is presenting the Sunrise bulletins?

It's Just Charlotte presents the LIVE Desk afterwards, so I would assume her role would continue, but as there is nothing to say - we'll have to wait and see! Surprised

I'd be very surprised if Charlotte fronted both Sunrise and the Live Desk. As mentioned above, I'd imagine the latter would fall to the bulletin presenter.

Another astonishing report from Alex Crawford in Libya today. I read a piece on the Independent website saying she's moving to Africa in the summer (presumably to replace Emma Hurd?). Hopefully this won't mean a reduced role for her and she'll be able to draw attention to some of that particular continent's conflicts and problems in the same way she has covered Pakistan and Afghanistan.
