It was mentioned a while back about Sky News not utilising the soft area with maroon sofa in the lobby outside the studio for interviews.

They used it today for a pre-recorded interview with Dominic Raab.

It was me who mentioned that... and then subsequently got shot down for daring to suggest it. I don't think that looks too bad, to be honest. It's different, anyway.


The sofa is very reminiscent of the titles - still quite new yet looks awful on screen.

It's better than the Ikea nonsense used in the Glass Box.

You mean Nönsens. It actually looked OK in the store.

Last I checked the 12:30am Preview is a repeat of the 11:30pm one which is then aired off and on throughout the night.

Usually, yes, but on Wednesday night/Thursday morning there was another live Press Preview broadcasted at 00:30. Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce were the reviewers on both the 22:30 and 23:30 programmes, however Andrew was replaced by Rachel Cunliffe on the 00:30 edition.

He has a rather strange style on the radio - very shouty and over-excited, like he’s commentating on Formula 1. Has he managed to tone it down for the TV?

He's infinitely better than Kieran Kaur. She sounds like she's chewing the microphone as she speaks so close to it and aggressively emphasises almost every word.
