Wow, they have some great music over there! Shocked

Glad for Lorna, she was always one of Sky's best. Smile

Great music possibly, but the lighting and vision control? Are they just running with house lights?

Darren McCaffrey's final day at Sky News today covering the Pope's visit to Ireland. He moves to Euronews NBC.

Their production values aren't the best, to say the least - from what I can gather, the lighting has been like that for a while. Worth noting, IMO, that the ABC's funding was cut by $84m in May, by then-treasurer and new PM Scott Morrison. But I digress. Back to presenter chat... Wink

Noticed weather producer Joanna Robinson did a pres shift on Sunrise this morning. They must be really short on staff or reluctant to continue using freelancers.

Or Joanna wants to take her career in that direction and management are allowing her to gain experience by covering when others are on holiday...

Sunrise on a Sunday is set to be shortened by an hour, with Sophy Ridge on Sunday starting at 9am from 9 September.

I wonder if, like Murnaghan used to be, it will be a 2 hour show?

Sounds like a reaction to BBC moving Andrew Marr to 10am.

I like Ridge’s show.. but can’t understand why they didn’t capitalise on Niall Patterson’s successful run at it.. give him a “post match analysis” show at 10 or 11 (similar to what cnn does with Inside Politics before State of the Union)

It’s not like a bunch of talking heads coats much to produce and he’s wasted otherwise

With Peston gone, Sky should be able to get the better interviews again. They all got rather third rate when it was split three ways

I don't know when Amanda Walker returned, but she's back covering Hurricane Florence.

After 2 years on Sunrise it’s time to stop the 3.30am alarms! Time to go solo but I’ll hugely miss these two... (pic is a typical morning - @SkyJacquie behaving impeccably, @skysarahjane bossing us about 😉) #sunrise https://twitter.com/jonathansamuels/status/1040110838000975872/photo/1

Leaving Sunrise or Sky News?
