Their production values aren't the best, to say the least - from what I can gather, the lighting has been like that for a while. Worth noting, IMO, that the ABC's funding was cut by $84m in May, by then-treasurer and new PM Scott Morrison. But I digress. Back to presenter chat...

Noticed weather producer Joanna Robinson did a pres shift on Sunrise this morning. They must be really short on staff or reluctant to continue using freelancers.

Sunrise on a Sunday is set to be shortened by an hour, with Sophy Ridge on Sunday starting at 9am from 9 September.

Sounds like a reaction to BBC moving Andrew Marr to 10am.

I like Ridge’s show.. but can’t understand why they didn’t capitalise on Niall Patterson’s successful run at it.. give him a “post match analysis” show at 10 or 11 (similar to what cnn does with Inside Politics before State of the Union)
It’s not like a bunch of talking heads coats much to produce and he’s wasted otherwise
