Sophy Ridge is back next Sunday. Great in one respect as I think she’s really good, but a shame not to have Niall presenting the Sunday morning show at the same time. He’s been brilliant.

Sophy really good? She comes across as an intern on work experience. Better at reporting though.

I think her style is brilliant. Her smiling-assassin takedown of Paul Nuttall was incredible. There’s a place for Paxo and Brillo, but there’s definitely room for her style too.

Sophy is good on SROS but I have really enjoyed Niall filling in during recent months and feel he has slightly more gravitas and is the better of the two (and just as good if not better than the Sunday morning hosts on ITV and BBC) so it'll be a shame that from next Sunday he'll be presenting it less regularly.

Both are much more enjoyable on the politics stuff than Adam Boulton IMO - who is clearly a knowledgable guy and very experienced and strong as a reporter/editor but pretty dull to watch as a presenter.

I'd like Niall to get his own show off the back of being Sophy's maternity cover. He has the right mix of personality when required with gravitas.

Niall seems to be the lead presenter on Thursday night/Friday morning during the Local Elections coverage.

Niall is pretty good. They should and could even look at creating some form of double headed show with sophy and extending it to two hours like the old Murnaghan.
