It's ironic however that Claudia is leaving just as she probably would have got a few more shifts!

Yes, however I think having a permanent deal in a prime time show on a respected channel beats freelancing and covering for BBC London and Sky News. In my opinion, they should've offered her sunrise when they first knew about Isabel

Oh for sure I think that it is a great opportunity for her - I would have took it if I was her too.

She's always come across well on Sunrise for me and I think she's really well suited to that program - I just really feel the cupboard is bare for relief female presenters now - the ones who are there might be alright for overnight shows and off-peak hours but I see them no better than that.

Be interesting to see what happens with Gillian's old solo shift and also if Sarah Hewson will return to her old shift when she comes back.

I agree about the female presenter thing. Time to get some more freelancers on board. Emma may get some bigger roles as she's freelance and can cover other shifts without compromising her own

I hear on the grapevine that they're after me! To anchor some big primetime newscast. I'm just polishing up the CV at the moment.

Where is Vivien Creegor? Haven't seen her on tv for weeks now.

Eh? What planet are you on? Get a grip. Put the sherry away!

Happy Christmas all.

If you're female I reckon you might have a good chance - sadly (for you!) they're awash with good quality male relief presenters right now - maybe they'll go double headed with two males?!?! Can't see it though!

May have already been mentioned that Siobhan Robbins has been promoted to SE Asia correspondent.

It’s a bit Digitalspy to post how much you don’t rate person X or how you think person Y isn’t good enough for this or that. Remember that these are real people doing a job - and imagine how you’d feel having people post their thoughts online about how you do yours.

Let’s keep it positive folks, yeah?

Yes...but as these people have put themselves in the public eye then they have to expect some level of scrutiny. I take it you have never said a particular actor wasn't good in a particular role? Or a politician is doing a bad job? Anyone working in entertainment, media or politics should expect to be critiqued by the public in a way that most of us doing ordinary mundane jobs don't necessarily experience. So long as it's not personal abuse along the lines of a protected characteristic and is instead related to their role, I don't see the problem.

I'm presuming that Week in Review has been axed

Rota discussion and discussing presenters in the way you don't seem to like has been around since the beginning of TV forum and the sticky at the top of this forum backs this up to that fact by linking to a post in 2001 where people are discussing the ability of presenters, I'm pretty sure Asa wouldn't have linked to a thread like that if it wasn't allowed to discuss such things.

It was supposed to be taking a short break but never came back.

It went downhill ever since Andrew and Kevin left

To be honest though even when they were on it I stopped watching it after a while as it just felt like something like the Paper Review but looking at a whole week rather than a day - for those of who watched the Press Preview there really was little there we hadn't already seen even if the guests were different.
