So they were in the glass box, weird how bland the presentation was though.

Kay's back today and it's back to normal with a variety of shots, cameras, pans and fully using the screen.

After looking back at 1500, the camera pans back enough to show the desk to confirm it was from the glass box.

Yes indeed. I caught this shot earlier and, it could just be the camera perspective but it looks like the desk has been moved closer to the screen.

Going off thread a bit but Sky News really has lost its way presentation wise. They can't keep a consistent look for their programmes. It's like the BBC News channel and Sky News have switched.

In all fairness, the 3.00pm - 6.30pm shift generally has used the same presentation style in the week even when Kay is off, it's just that yesterday was an oddity where it was using overnight style presentation when it was from the glass box.

Of course it could have been to do maintenance to the studio or that Isabel was nursing an injury.

First time I've seen Emma Crosby since her debut week?

Gamal was subbing for Kay earlier in the week, curious who is doing Kays slot today, Tom?

Unfortunately Emma is getting some disgusting trolling on twitter.

Indeed, Tom is covering Kay's shift today. I assume Gamal will return to his normal slot tomorrow afternoon (3-7).

EDIT: in fact, Gamal is on the 11-3 shift again today, this time with Kimberley.

Tom doing Gamal's shift.

Come to think of it I've never seen Tom as the main presenter in a two, has it happened?

Generally I get the feeling these days Gamal is the main relief presenter?

It's been 11-3 since Wednesday as Parliament is in recess, cutting All Out Politics to an hour.

Pretty sure I’ve seen Tom lead on Sunrise with Claudia, and with Kimberly on that afternoon slot.

I know this is a while off yet but who do we think will replace Isabel Webster on Sunrise when she goes on maternity leave? My guess is Claudia-Liza Armah as she seems to cover quite a few Sunrise's but I wouldn't mind seeing Gillian Joseph back with Stephen too.

For anyone who doesn't look at the other Sky News thread Kay Burley announced yesterday that she has signed a new 5 year contract with Sky and then later on got abuse from people on twitter for failing to say "reports" of a man with a gun on Oxford Street in her "haste to warn shoppers".

Gillian Joseph would be great but not sure it will happen.
