Isabel Webster on Ian King Live, that's a new one.

Not the first presenter I'd think of as having business acumen.

I was wondering this today. Her Twitter still says she's on sabbatical. Would be excellent to see her return.

She's also changed her name.

She's Samantha Fox-Wilcke now

So the sabbatical was because she got married and went on honeymoon? Congrats to her.

That would be some honeymoon considering how long she's been away...

Sorry for going off topic

Isabel standing in for Kay with a very different presentation style.

Literally just Isabel and nothing but a blue background behind her for the whole shift.

Not a single shot of the studio, the desk or anything else in the background feels very sterile for what is a prime-time shift which is normally more lively.

Kay presents like this too, she has a blue background behind her stood up at the desk.

With all due respect, you clearly didn't see the presentation style Isabel was using today because if you did you would appreciate that there was certainly a difference.

For the whole 3.5 hours it was Isabel sitting in front of a blue background and nothing else. I'm not even 100% sure it came from the glass box since the glass box was not shown, the sky central building itself was not shown, the desk was not shown and Isabel never moved for the entire 3.5 hours and all you could see was her and a blue background and nothing, I mean nothing else.

The pace of it and the presentation was sterile, dull and felt more like an overnight than a prime time shift, because when Tom and Gamal have filled in for Kay they've kept the same energy, presentation style but today it was literally felt like someone had put her in the small studio in Westminster that's used for guest interviews and changed the background from white to blue and broadcast the whole shift from there.

After looking back at 1500, the camera pans back enough to show the desk to confirm it was from the glass box.
