I hope we can get a chance to see Mark anchoring from the U.S. He is second to none when it comes to on location presenting. What an amazing coup by Sky to get him.

Highly likely with the impending hurricane.

Jon Craig on the midnight hour seeming to have problems. Not sure wether the wrong pre record was played or wether he was live and something went wrong. Jon said "god, god" the gallery then cut back to the studio. Made me laugh but hope he's okay.

welcome to the forum Jayo. I think it was a pre record and before anyone says anything I did check to see if anyone had mentioned it but then spent 15 minutes sat on the other sky news thread whilst I watched it back to get the correct wording. You must have posted just after I checked Very Happy

Mark Austin showing what a outstanding journalist and broadcaster he is from what I seen, anchoring and reporting on this terrible situation. ITV were absolutely mad to lose him, Sky News have got one of the best journalists in the business and at times like this it really shows.

Well we'll never know but moving him of News at Ten was never a good idea, (even though Bradby turned out okay). He seemed very under valued at ITV towards the end, it was very disappointing for instance he played no role in the 2015 Election Coversge or the Brexit referendum.

Elsewhere, was nice to see Stephen and Gillan reunited on Sunrise yesterday.

Yeah, I would say he was okay. Competent, reasonably good, but certainly not someone I'd pick to lead a primetime news programme, at least not yet. He's certainly still improving and he's still got room to improve, but he's a decent enough newscaster.
