Where will Emma Crosby fit in? I've heard she's still freelance?

I guess Sarah Hewson will be back later in the year, but who will cover for Sophy when she is off for a while? Will Adam return to the Sunday morning show or someone else?

I didn't catch Emma, but I'm pleased to see her make a return to newscasting I think she's a brilliant anchor with a great naturalness to her presenting who totally justified her main anchor status at 5 News. It may be a freelance thing where she covers or it could be something permanent I won't endlessly speculate but if I were SKY I would be looking to use her wherever I could. she'd be a strong addition to a team which I think is very strong and much more underrated than people may sometimes give credit for.

I wasn't aware Sophy was off for a while, so not sure if you mean for the summer months or a bit longer. Either way I wouldn't actually be to surprised to see Faisal Islam in that slot covering. I suppose they have a few other options though as a number of Presenters have been involved in political coverage.

Great to see Emma back. Sky News is in desperate need of some decent fill in anchors to fill the void when the ''old timers'' are out, which is like most of the time.

Sophy looks and sounds ill tonight, I have horrible feeling she might throw up any minute she is so pale and sounds so weak.

When is she going on leave?

Isn't Parliament in recess for the summer next week? This would be the last Ridge on Sunday this weekend if that's the case.

Isn't Parliament in recess for the summer next week? This would be the last Ridge on Sunday this weekend if that's the case.

Ridge on Sunday is on 23 July then takes a break for the summer. Towards the end of July, All Out Politics, The Pledge and Ian King Live will also take a summer break - all returning in September.
