With presenters presumably having a well deserved rest after covering the GE, Saturday ended up being.
0600-1000: Sunrise with Anna Jones at Westminster, Claudia-Liza Armah at Sky Central.
1000-1400: Rebecca Williams
1400-1700: Tom Macleod
1700-2000: Gillian Joseph (normal) from Westminster.
2000-0000: Gamal Fahnbulleh
Don't worry, I'm not going to start rota stalking, but worth noting today at least.
Rebecca was rather good, not seen her before but she looked more than capable and Gamal is doing well also and it seems he is getting the better and more prominent shifts when compared to the other newer presenters.

Rebecca used to be a relief presenter on BBC South East Today, largely lates and weekends, so knows her stuff. Was impressed with her political questioning earlier.
Do think the election has given the new generation of Sky News hosts the opportunity to showcase their talents and from the comments here most have done exceptionally well.

Completley agree, seen a good bit of each of the channels coverage and from what I've seen SKY certainly produced as good as coverage as the other two. Sophy Ridge has made the step up superbly and having her at Westminster in a kind of dual presenter role with Adam back in the studio really worked well. The real star for me though was Lewis Goodall, him and Ed Conway worked extremely well together, thought he provided the best ongoing analysis and insightful knowledge of the different seats of any expert across the 3 channels. I think he's a definate Political Editor on one channel or another in the future, if I were SKY I'd seriously consider making him Deputy Political Editor.
Loved the presentation to, I thought Skys studio and use of it was the best of the 3 actually.
Though I miss some of those who have departed, especially Jeremy Thompson and Andrew Wilson, Sky is certainly in a lot better position than many on here would expect it to be in, with a particularly strong political unit, I think they're making a valuable contribution
It's a shame Sky didn't get as much kudos in the press as ITV. Yes, ITV did a really good job and having Balls and Osborne was a masterstroke, but Sky really got out of their comfort zone this time round with a decent presenting team which was more than just Adam sitting round the desk with guests this time round.
As mentioned, I think the younger generation of presenters are really starting to shine in the last few weeks, SJM on Sunrise, Gamal, Ian, Sophy Ridge and even relief presenters such as Rebecca Williams, Claudia-Liza Armah and Sam Naz (I remember people saying she was wooden) have really raised the bar.
For me Sam Naz has improved when it comes to news-reading but still think she still doesn't seem comfortable with breaking news. Rebecca has really impressed me and Claudia also certainly has improved, Gamal is an excellent news presenter, real authoritative, he's deserved getting a few prime time shifts lately but perhaps doesn't feel 100% natural on press preview, generally he does it fine, but the cuts to breaks and wrapping up sometimes feel a bit rough/hard, but that will improve with experience.
Sophy is still a weak general (non political) news presenter, I didn't like her at all hosting the terrorist attack aftermath coverage, however she's doing very well on her own show and did well on election night. Still feel that she should be someone who is hosting political programs and interviewing guests, stuff like All Out Politics, Sophy Ridge on Sunday, The Campaign etc she is excellent for, just not suited to general news coverage if you ask me.
Only two presenters I don't rate at all are Kimberley Leonard and Eric Johnson, I know the later is only on overnights, it's just whenever I flick it on his voice is too loud, like he is emphasizing every word heavily and if I am working late and come home and am tired and flick on the midnight news it's just a little too much. That style works in the afternoon but doesn't at night.
As stated Lewis is good, but he's still very young and isn't close to being a Deputy Political editor if you ask me, he doesn't come as mature enough for it yet on Twitter and seems much more forthright and loose with his opinions compared to the rest of the Sky News team, for example he just tweeted that a member of the cabinet was demoted and it was a disgrace, I cannot see someone else coming out with that kind of line?
