She's great on the desk IMO. Be good to perhaps see more of her in future if roles are to be dual purpose.

I think she's frigging awesome.

Robert Nisbet was good this morning too - could imagine him moving up to deputise for JT.

She can do a good job that is for sure. Didn't see Robert Nisbet.

Nobody can be as good as JT though.

Yes Sm Washington is certainly someone that can make the step up to be a main presenter.

Stephen Dixon had an interesting tweet yesterday saying he was suffering with pneumonia but Sky were short staffed so he had to present! Perhaps a little dig at Ryley and co with that one.

JT was a reporter on Sky News and ITN before he became an anchor. Surely most news presenters on all channels started in the field?

To be honest whilst Samantha, Andrew and Lorna are the latest to leave, they are not the only ones this year. Paula Middlehurst, Jannat Jalil and Hannah Vaughan-Jones left too.

There has been a reduction in presenting staff generally throughout 2016.

This quite often happens when bureau correspondents (anywhere) take some leave, which you would expect them to do given that the Republican and Democratic conventions are both taking place over the next fortnight, so they'll need to be well-rested.
