I didn't see the second press preview, but in the first one Alex wanted to run the show and was pretty argumentative so don't blame Longhurst for that.

I'm talking about the second 1...She kept talking over him every time he said a few words and Mark did the same.

Mark generally just needs to stop butting in every few seconds - its the same every time. As soon as someone starts talking you see him take a deep breath, point his finger and interrupt

Alex is usually relatively calm as he was on Dateline London earlier. Christina Patterson, even though she's centre left can be hard work to debate with.

Was Jon Craig on his way home/ at home when the news broke about Jeremy Corbyn sacking Hilary Benn? They had him out of vision presumably on the phone but by 2am he was back in the Westminster studio live and again at 3am and 4am

I've been a critic of him, but Faisal Islam doing a good job today.

Indeed, good work, if somewhat worrying news:

Faisal is showing why John Ryley hired him in the first place. Outstanding.

Totally agree. Taken a while for him to find his feet (probably not helped by Adam Boulton's continued presence) but he really is good.
NYTV, London Lite and Brekkie gave kudos

Yeah, despite the fact that Adam is not the political editor anymore, he's still anchoring the main political programmes from the studio and the main coverage like when he was political editor, the only difference now is the big on location interviews and the party leaders are no longer his area.

Faisal really has come of age the last couple of days.

Jon returned to Millbank for live hits on the Hilary Benn story and to prepare a new package for Sunrise. He also wrote a new lead for Online. He's a machine!

Thanks for that connews. Very impressive just like Adam Boulton

Do they usually leave Westminster around 12:30am? I've seen plenty of lives at the start of the midnight hour but none after that.

I also agree with above posters about Faisal Islam - I was not that keen on him at first - his packages were good but he seemed to struggle with lives and I didn't like the interviews he did during the debate programmes but on the whole he has been fantastic this week
