Sky have no plans, and I really doubt they will again for a long time, to have double headed presentation.
I hope they don't go back. Watching a bit of Daybreak this week shows perfectly how naff double headed is. Ten words each from an autocue and looking at each other when they're not speaking, what's the point? It's all too Blue Peterish, from my childhood.
They could do it in a BBC News channel style were just one of them presents a report and the other does the next and so on.
Because they need to keep competitive for ratings in paticular Sunrise BBC Breakfast is clearly first they have new competition from Daybreak , and sky sports news plus any other news channels for peoples viewing .
These other outlets have made changes to there output more than sky have eg. Alistair Stewart taking on the itv news at 6:30 , Louise Minchen becoming presenter of weekend breakfast etc.
As long as Kay Burley has the longest daytime shift, it's broken.
Despite the fact I don't rate her either she does not have the longest daytime shift Dermot , Eammon and her all have the same time with two editions of the live desk In between. As I have said in a prior post I would move her to the 10-1 shift and the reason being it is still quite a big shift were people may be watching before thye go to bed or people going to work nights etc.
If you think that these presenters 'excel' in their current roles then why do you want them all to move?
Because its life it happens in all walks of life to keep things fresh there is need to this every few years and there is some presenters who need to be given a break that's were the main newscasters start by being given a break and at the moment theres no oppitunitys for that to happen.

Other than NSW I don't think there needs to be any radical changes. Its not broken so why fix it? If anything I'd like to see more of Jeremy on our screens!

For me its about time Sky news had a presenter reshuffle although a lot of them excel in there current roles there is need for change

The thing you seem to be missing here is that Sky can't make sweeping changes of their programming just like that. Kay may not want to go the the News at 10 and Anna Botting/Stephen Dixon may not want to move shifts either. They would need to consult the presenters and other staff affected and if they disagree with moving, then it's unlikely that Kay would be moved to evening slots. There are many different factors that a professional news service would need to consider before changing the schedule, things that don't appear to be factored into your ideas.

It does and those factors would have to be taken into account and that would influence its final schedule However it has happened before and could happen again now I think Anna who Is a loyal serevent at sky would do it Stephen has also appeared at different times and Kay i suppose is the stumbling block but I was saying that's how ild like to see it happen but if sky do want to change there schedule im sure they will have there own ideas.

I agree with you there, although I think that it may be Paula's decision to do NSW, rather than headlines all day on a weekday or something, she may have decided to go part time and do weekend and evening NSW since she returned from maternity leave.
where do you get this noble idea that employees have this much of a say over their working hours?

Never mind double-headed, it wasn't that long ago that Sky News was actually triple-headed!
(Who invented those awful terminologies of "single headed" and "double headed"? Was it someone on this forum, perchance?)
I agree with Gino on this one. No harm in having two presenters, reading alternate stories each, and without the need for both to be perpetually in-vision during the entire bulletin, gawking at each other whilst the other speaks. The opening and close and intermediates are sufficient for wide shots of both presenters. (I mean like the style adopted by ITN Ten and BBC Nine in their respective eras.)

What are you talking about giving new newscasters a break? All you suggested was pointlessly switching everybody around and brining in Natasha Kaplinsky, hardly someone who needs to opportunity to break into TV news.
You don't build audiences by switching all your presenters round for no reason.

Paula may have decided to go part time to spend more time with her newborn child, which is common in many professions.

Apart from the fact that, with the greatest of respect, he was crap when on the overnights.
for me I would like to Ashiah Joshi to be used more in a presenting compacity the 2-5 saturday NSW and saturday live would suit him

Well they already have the likes of Chloe Potter and Matt Smith to do the dullest slots on the show (weekend NSW) so I don't think they need to add Ashish to that group.
EDIT: Just a note that Sky have added a story to their Press Office page about the extension of Jeff Randall Live.
