That's a big mistake by Stephen Dixon/
Coming back from a break
Stephen: "It's not time to go home yet is it Gillian"
Gillian: "No but we will be preparing to go live to the Cenotaph as Britain pays tribute to it's war dead" (Dixon at this points realises what a mistake he made)
Went on for a bit longer than that with Stephen trying to digging himself out a hole and digging himself deeper, didn't think it was very appropriate bearing in mind the day.
If it was Kay Burley things would have hit meltdown.

Not sure if this was the same day but Gillian thought it was time to go home and started logging off the computer/tablet? during the break 1 day that weekend - it may have been a little dig about that at the start.
As for the overnight presenter I was hoping Phil Lavelle might get the job as he seems to be quite enthusiastic, drops in the odd ad lib and has a more laid back style generally. He's good on the business updates too during the afternoon and like how Joel Hills used to be.

Has Jannat Jalil left Sky News?
She hadn't been seen for a little while before her report from Paris the day the news about the attacks broke, and hasn't been seen since the day after.
Now I note she's removed all trace of Sky News from her twitter profile and replaced it with Journalist.

Well she was titled as "Sky Presenter" during her report from Paris last week.

Jannat's twitter said "Sky News Presenter" a few days ago at the time of the Paris attacks but in the last few days it seems she changed it to just "Journalist"

Just came across this thanks to good old Google alerts.
I went for the role, but clearly wasn't what they were looking for. It's worked out for the best as I am about to become a father again, so doing constant overnights with a baby may have been a bit of a tall order, in hindsight. Plus, I'm getting to business during the day which is fun. Onwards and upwards..
Thanks for your very kind words Richard.

Excellent to see Adam Boulton put that Russian right who was trying to re-write the history of WW2

Looks like Sky has already gone into Christmas schedule mode already with Dermot starting at 10am and Sunrise carried on until 10am.
