Do Sky keep her on for pure comedic value because she is a terrible interviewer, they have much better presenters and she throws up several embarrassing stories a year.

Presumably Sky a) rate her and b) like the attention she gets. Whilst I'm not her biggest fan, I don't dislike her as much as some others appear to do. She certainly gets a lot of press and keeps the Sky News profile high up the agenda.
But is it the sort of profile Sky News are looking for?
I suspect that Sky are believers in the old adage that any publicity is good publicity.

Ian King said the F word tonight after 1 of his leads came out during an interview. He apologised to the woman shortly after and she started laughing, He then apologised again at the end of the programme and linked it into his number of the day "14" which was to do with the number of FTSE 100 companies publishing half or quarterly results today saying come on fellas there are 260 working days in a year how about spreading them out a bit, it makes our lives a bit less stressful , apologies again for my swearing earlier.
