Paula Middlehurst with Steve Dixon on Sunrise this morning. I haven't seen Paula on-screen for ages, let alone ever on Sunrise. One of the best Sky News presenters, IMO.

Although Steve has just thrown her several curved balls by progressing the paper review which is a clear change in the running order , and then proceeded to insult her (jokingly) about 'typical women' not being capable.........must watch this to the end this morning!


That's not how I saw it, they always do the papers at that time and he said something on the lines of what else have you found this morning and she said Oh I didn't realise I was meant to do this...sorry I'm new to this programme Stephen you will have to walk me through this.....is that why I've been given these newspapers?, I haven't found any of this I think someone else has found it and I'm now pretending I found it.

Then after reading the headline and sub headline of the story she said id like to read it through later and tell you all about it I'm so sorry.

Stephen then about to move on to the next paper must have been told in his ear to leave it for now so he said lets leave it there for now you will be relieved to know Polly to be fair and Paula said I think we better had sorry about that everyone I didn't know what I was doing then.

Stephen said Its going very, very well today, women having their (Paula ow ow ow)....no no no its a Segway Polly into why women are pushing ahead

Pretty unprofessional and cringy but funny to watch. They also didn't bother doing more than a read through of the headlines for the 7:15am or 8:15am hours either.


and Finally...Hannah Tallet and Paula Middlehurst on Sunrise this morning they must be really low on presenters this weekend as Paula was on sunrise and then the afternoon slot yesterday too

Yes they are really short on presenters at the moment. Sarah Jane Mee did the 12-2 slot and SNT from 7-9 all this week and also did some double shifts last week. I counted 8 presenters that have been away the past two weeks, not great in the middle of an election campaign.

That's spot-on! Not being a regular viewer, I just assumed it was a curved-ball.

My posts were not about the 'movements' of presenters instead merely highlighting the absence of about 1/3 of its presentation team at the same time.
