For me its about time Sky news had a presenter reshuffle although a lot of them excel in there current roles there is need for change , If Natasha Kaplinksy is employed by sky news her talents would be better used there as shes hardly spent any time on five news and Matt is doing fine where he is so I would have her front a new look sunrise with Eammon and no headlines presenter.

The Live Desk I would give to Charlette who could also present headlines during sky news today which I would let Colin present as for Afternoon live I would give it to Anna Botting with Philipa Hall who will have presented the five news lunch update doing the headlines.

As for Live at 5 I think its time Jeremy maybe retired or got given a lesser role but I would put Dermot as the full time presenter there retain Martin + Jeff in there current roles and have Gillian Joespth host News/Sport/Weather , Kay Burley would do sky news at 10 and that shift onwards...

For the weekend keep the weekday format with Both Mark and Anna Jones , give Sammatha Simmonds present saturday live and news sport and weather and keep the rest of the weekend team in there previous roles.

Sky have no plans, and I really doubt they will again for a long time, to have double headed presentation. And since Natasha has two young children and is doing a lot less presenting than she used to, I think it would be unlikely that she would want to do a 6am-9am shift with Eamonn Holmes four days a week.

I think the Live Desk would be a good role for Charlotte, however Dermot seems set in Sky News Today, and I honestly don't think Colin should move there, if he did move anywhere I would suspect it would be covering Afternoon Live and Sky News Today, and possibly presenting Saturday Live - rather than a full-time Today show.
As for Anna Botting, I have never seen her presenting AL, and she tends to do the evening shows rather than afternoon shows, and I would expect her to remain in that role for a while longer.

I completely disagree - Jeremy is an excellent presenter and I think he will be on our screens for several years to come. If there is one presenter Sky would never give a lesser role to it would be JT - he is there biggest asset. No question. Dermot, as I said above, will probably stay in the Today shift but maybe someday he will move to Live at Five. I would prefer to see Martin have an evening show, Sky News on the Hour or something rather than NSW, and Jeff can keep his half hour - hour show.
Kay Burley has been doing daytime slots for years, I think it's crazy that she would ever move to News at 10 - it's just ridiculous to think that.

For the weekend keep the weekday format with Both Mark and Anna Jones , give Sammatha Simmonds present saturday live and news sport and weather and keep the rest of the weekend team in there previous roles.

Samantha Simmonds is going to go on maternity leave in the coming months, so I would expect her to take more of a Paula Middlehurst role over the next year or so, depending on her preferences. If you're suggesting Anna Jones moves to Sunrise, I think that's a little bit unrealistic as with Natasha moving to Sunrise Weekday. I agree with Lorna Dunkley and Andrew Wilson staying in their current roles - although within the next few years I think Lorna will move into the same league as Anna Botting, presenting key shifts and possibly as a KB replacement on Afternoon Live.

Although this is all presuming you would like to see these changes immediately, I think in general most of what you say is highly unrealistic and wouldn't ever happen.

Very reflectful views Thomas and I see all of your points and take these on board I wouldant like to see these changes happen immediatley instead maybe over the next few years.

Jeremy I agree is an excellent presenter but I think he could do with a change maybe his own investigative series for sky (like tonight) plus maybe becoming the the face of weekend coverage and dont forget Lorna did used to be in a very high leauge fronting sunrise alongside Eammon when he first joined .

Martin is good on sky news .com but theres no reason why he couldant front the news , sport , weather from 8-10 as well unless of course its his own reaosns .

I think sky made a big mistake by letting Chris Roberts go I found hom one of the best presenters on the station and now that Sammatha is to go on leave my next choice would be Jayne secker.

for sunrise I think they need it dobule headed however now id would either give that to Natasha but as Tom said it was unlikley with her family or Charlette .

I wounder will we see helen fospero return now she has finshed her tenrue with itv ?

I know I'm sounding like a broken record but I wholeheartedly agree with you on that score. Sometimes you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone!

I doubt it, from what I've read here over the past few months Sky don't seem to be the kind of company to take back old employees and presenters who are lured away.

If you think that these presenters 'excel' in their current roles then why do you want them all to move?

Other than NSW I don't think there needs to be any radical changes. Its not broken so why fix it? If anything I'd like to see more of Jeremy on our screens!

Hopefully she's just going to be going to be doing more news presenters, covering some of the bigger programmes. That would probably be the best use of her talents.

Thats what she has been doing most of the summer, including today

I hope when she returns she doesn't get the same NSW shifts as Paula. It's such a shame how Paula is so underused now and I don't want Samantha to go the same way

The last Sky News Panel survey a week or so ago was about the types of news viewers wanted and when. It was very clear from that schedule changes are being considered, including a potential entertainment news bulletin

As long as Kay Burley has the longest daytime shift, it's broken.

I hope they don't go back. Watching a bit of Daybreak this week shows perfectly how naff double headed is. Ten words each from an autocue and looking at each other when they're not speaking, what's the point? It's all too Blue Peterish, from my childhood.

I agree with you there, although I think that it may be Paula's decision to do NSW, rather than headlines all day on a weekday or something, she may have decided to go part time and do weekend and evening NSW since she returned from maternity leave.
