How long have morning's been double headed? I turned Sky on this week for the first time in months and it appears Colin Brazier and Jayne Secker now double head from 9-12 and Dermot Murnaghan is on 12-2. Is this new ... Or am I just slow?

Interesting that Paul Harrison acted as a translator from french to english at Ian Woods' side and furthermore Joey Jones also appeared to speak french with the citizens there, probably the reason why he was sent to France.

What a completely obvious observation. That's like saying "Sue Jameson was sent to Westminster to cover the Budget and grill George Osbourne and she was great, probably why she was sent there". Of course reporters are going to be sent to stuff which will allow them to play to their strengths!!! Jeezo.

Would you consider :" Kay Burley LIVE from Paris this morning, covering the rolling news of the manhunt", (Three posts above by JamesWorldNews) also as a "completely obvious observation"?

No, I wouldn't. James was clearly updating as a breaking news story progressed, and his post showed that Sky's rolling coverage was in full swing (by having their best rolling news anchor in Paris, and anchoring the coverage.)

As you may know, Paul is now a senior news editor in an off-air capacity, and I can tell you that in situations like this, there isn't the time to stop and think about whose specific-but-not-necesarily-obvious skillset is what - it's just (quite rightly) assumed that you'll generally know how to do your job well.

In the first instance yes, but surely when the news has properly broke and nearly the entire nation, or world, knows, reporters with better skillsets will be sent to relive whoever the duty reporters are?
