Jannat Jalil has been popping up here and there over the last few weeks, she has done the weekday business updates as well weekend afternoon slots, lots of people used to say she was wasted on the overnight shift but I don't think she's very good at all.
Andrew Wilson also has not been on for some time - 3 or 4 weeks I think. It would have been great if he had anchored coverage from Gaza since he usually excels on location. I think the only organisation that have an anchor in the Middle East is CNN with Wolf Blitzer.

I was thinking the same thing. I checked his twitter and someone tweeted him asking where he was and he just retweeted it without replying. Maybe another sabbatical or extended holiday?
Also, I've noticed during the last year or so that Jeremy Thompson seems to be presenting less and less. I'd say it's more common for someone else to be presenting his slot than him these days.

Becky Anderson is there for CNN as well
Becky Anderson presents her programme from Abu Dhabi permanently now, rather that being sent there to front coverage because of a specific story, like Wolf has.

Yes, she was in Jerusalem. She was meant to be going around the Middle East during July, but I think she broadcasted her first night in Cairo before going to Jerusalem to report for The Situation Room hours later. She missed Beirut, but will resume from Istanbul today.
