Rather disappointed with today's coverage - only 2 reporters are in France I believe, Alistair Bunkall and Paul Harrison, though I only remember seeing them yesterday haven't seen them since - there is no anchor in France either - The BBCs and even ITV News' coverage has been far superior.
It looks like Martin Stanford is now the regular presenter of the 10am to 12pm slot on Saturday mornings according to his twitter. Similar to the previous Saturday live slot he presented back in 2005.
Saturday 10:30am is a specialist slot Digital View, viewing the weeks stories from the web point of view and utilising web-based technologies. A new kind of skynews.com style programme.
Interview with John Ryley in which he announces Boulton's show will run throughout prime time - from 7 to 9pm.

He wants Adam Boulton’s new weekday evening show, which begins in September, to define the channel as much more than a rolling news service with a niche audience. “I do see that as an opportunity to take on both Channel 4 News and Newsnight in a different way,” he says. “It’s two hours long [7pm-9pm] and has a bigger canvas than Channel 4 News and Newsnight.”
So rather than it just being the former political editor’s show, Boulton will draw on Sky News’s newly recruited team of specialists – the likes of economics editor Ed Conway, social affairs editor Afua Hirsch, foreign affairs editor Sam Kiley, diplomatic editor Tim Marshall and sports correspondent Paul Kelso – for big interviews and scoops. “I would see those journalists being deployed to deliver exclusive stories for that show,” says Ryley. He has been “very deliberately” raiding newspapers for expert talent and has assembled a team quite capable of rivalling the other big current affairs shows.
Two hours long - that's interesting. Sounds like quite a good concept but if I'm being honest, I don't rate Adam as the best presenter. He strikes me as a little awkward.
Not wanting to go down the rota route but I'd love to see World News Tonight make a comeback at say 9pm, it was a good international-focused news bulletin, but just didn't work with James Rubin.
Two hours will be painfully long. Especially with the 30 minute business programme beforehand. This will mean 150 minutes of no traditional rolling news. Getting two hours worth of decent interviews on a daily basis will be a challenge. I'd much rather an hour with top class guests rather that the feeling I believe I'm going to get that it will be a drag.

very surprised they're doing this as it sounds very similar to the failed 'Sky Report' from ten years ago. they seem to be going round in circles - a breaking news led channel or feature led one? I suppose the evening viewing figures are tiny enough to be able to experiment though
If Sky is going down the more Newsnight/C4 News direction with the analytical format between 7-9pm, I welcome it, although if I wanted to watch that type of news, I'd watch C4 News which for me is the more superior of the two bulletins.
I guess it will be designed as a sort of rolling features show - presumably they won't expect anyone to watch the whole two hours and so will repeat interviews/stories across the programme.
Sarah Jane on Sunrise again this morning. She seems to have been on Sunrise a few times last fortnight. Not complaing Anyone think she may get a regular spot?
