Very strange move, i'd of thought Mark Longhurst would have been a better choice than Kay Burley to cover the story - especially with his International experience many moons ago as a reporter. I suppose Kay must be more 'senior' on Sky's list when it comes to covering the death of a public figure.

I think I spotted Kay at the Sportswoman awards, which took place at Sky Studios this evening, so not a surprise to see Kay on Sky News..

Kay just tweeted that Stephen Dixon and Gillian Joseph will be on with a specially extended sunrise from 3am

Kay on sunrise today and from what she said about a tweet she will be for the next 2 days too, makes a nice change

If I remember correctly she broke a record last year and didn't present on Christmas Day at all. By the sounds of that tweet she will be back in the hot seat as people wake up on Christmas Day this year.
