I see from Twitter that Jeremy Thompson was roped into the Heathrow emergency landing upon his return from the US. Was he anchoring, or just a phone interview?

He did a phone interview with Niall Paterson back in the studio. Jeremy was on a British Airways Boeing 747 from the USA which was temporarily diverted to Stansted due to the incident at Heathrow this morning. He spoke on air LIVE to Niall whilst waiting for a slot back out of Stansted.

ITN's Alastair Stewart was also on the same flight as JT.

Three shifts in just over 12 hours? That has to be some record.

The headlines on Murnaghan or formerly Sunday Live have always belonged to the 2 til 5 shift. So from this perspective it' s only been 2 shifts.

Hannah Tallett should become a main schedule presenter, possibly becoming the lead on weekends for the 2-5 shift. She handles breaking news very well and is much better than many of the weekend presenters, particularly Jannat Jalil and Phillipa Tomson.

Are you crazy?! Hannah is down with some of the really bad fill-ins. Hard news is not her thing, she is more Sunrise. Philippa Tomson is up at the top, although I think it is pretty sh** on her that she replaced Lukwesa when she left(for wherever) and is now bumped off to weekends because Lukwesa has returned.

What's wrong with Hannah? I enjoy her FAR more than I do Philippa. Have you seen Philippa attempt breaking news or adlib?

Yes, Philippa handles breaking news far better than Hannah.
