That's all very true, so if Eamonn had gone back to GMTV/Daybreak, who do you think might have partnered him?

A quick Google would give some suggestions. Remember it was only speculation he was headed for/ in talks with GMTV in the first place.

I know yer Smile It would have been intresting to see if he headed up the football coverage as he has done some sporting events in the past , he is a football fan and itv were getting fed of Steve Rider and a replacement was required but where Charlotte could have worked on other things like christine I don't know .

Really? I presume you mean 'fed up'? How do you know this? Has it been referred to publicly? Do you have a source inside ITV Sport? I followed the negotiations and the threat of a law suit quite closely and at no stage did ITV nor ITV Sport claim/state/imply/suggest that it was fed up with Steve Rider. What it did do was release Rider from his contract with them to anchor their F1 coverage. It still had a contract in place for him to anchor the remainder of their coverage, notably football, for which he had received a new contract and which pre-empted Gabby Logan's defection to the BBC. If you know different, then please feel free to make your case. If, however, you do not know any different, then please make sure that in future, when you post, you explain yourself clearly.

As I stated earlier on in this thread, you have not been attacked or criticised personally very often. What has been criticised is the content of your posts. Your most recent post has proven this.

Steve Rider was very much 2nd choice I have been reading Jeff Stellings book in which he says he was offered the role to head up the football coverage and he was about to accept it and then have a change of heart, his main role was the F1 and there were even groups on Facebook such as sack steve rider from itv sport itv new he didant appeal to football viewers and along came Adrian and that would push him in to number 2 or 3 spot depending on matt smith and then there was Jim r and Kelly C as well so he could have stayed but he would look desperate . he still continues to work on world car championship stuff on a frelaunce basis .

Anyone know when Lucy Verasamy's last day is?

Looks like she was still working on Friday, according to her Sky News Weather Blog.

Will she work this Bank Holiday week as well before leaving?

True, Kirsty could do the first week, although, to introduce her to viewers you would think first week would be the best to get all the new faces in and done with.

We may well see both of them with this new enviroment correspondent role for each.

Kirsty when she joined I thought did the 2nd week.
