House I have no problem accepting criticism I
Quote:
Don't paticuly rate the presenter that highly either but my point was he is probably the favourite

Well, if that was your point, why didn't you make it clear in the first place? House stated earlier that he has no objection to anybody posting a comment as long as they abide by the rules of the forum and take the time to think about what they say and what they are about to contribute. House doesn't object to 'summer holiday kids' posting on here, nor do I, and nor do the vast majority of members (I hope). What we object to is the slapdash way the posts are made. In criticising your posts, and not you, we hope that you might make your posts better and more constructive.

RE: Colin - The reason I didn’t make that clear was because my point was about Charlotte Hawkins and were she would be next and my guess is the live desk I didn’t meant to make my post about him it was just to suggest how she would get that platform with JT Retiring etc.

RE- Charlotte - I don't think we will see her presenting the 6 anytime soon on BBC the current presenters of that programme and the former ones had more experience , George was deputy on the one , Fiona worked on Antiques and news before coming on their Natasha , Sian , Kate and Sophie all started out on breakfast at bbc and had other experience whether it be on radio or elsewhere and Charlotte only has been on regional and a headlines presenter on sky if the 6 was to go back to double headed I imagine either Sophie rayworth or Kate Silverton would get the nod and if Charlotte is to move off sky news I think it would be on to five or Itv.

Also does anyone think if Eamon had have moved back to GMTV Charlotte would join him and it would remain GMTV and not daybreak.

I think if Eamonn had left Charlotte would probably have been tempted to go, whether or not she would've done we will never know. And it might still have been rebranded, considering they've got highly-known presenters for the rebrand anyway.

What is happening with the sport? Has Jon Desborough gone because I saw Georgie Thompson from Sky Sports reading the Sports news in his slot? Have all Sky News sports presenters been sacked?

Look back a couple of pages and you should find your answers.

Just out of interest, why do you think that? She joined Sky, not Eamonn.

I Thought of share the same view as Tom , Christine joined bbc not Adrian and look what happened you get a very similar feeling with these two the fact she appears as a panelist on this morning when Eammons presenting , they share a good on air partnership and if Eamonn had of left she would probably have some role in that set up whether it be a co-presenter or newsreader.

Well if Eamonn had decided to leave I would've thought that ITV would want a double-headed presentation like they have now, so they would most likely look to hire both the weekday Sunrise presenters who already work together and have on-screen chemistry, which you can see from watching them together in the mornings.
ITV decided to take both Christine and Adrian from the One Show, so it's more than likely that they would also taken Eamonn and Charlotte if he had decided to go.

But Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles were publicly lauded for having a great on and off screen relationship, which many claimed made The One Show the success it is. The same isn't true of Eamonn Holmes and Charlotte Hawkins.

At the same time, when talks of Eamonn joining GMTV/Daybreak were about it was because ITV wanted to hark back to a time when Eamonn had presented GMTV, not copy a competitor's team. The One Show and Daybreak/GMTV are not, and have never been, competitors. Sunrise and GMTV are competitors, even if attracting very different audiences.

It's also worth remembering that, while Charlotte does appear in a lot of Sunrise and have a fairly prominent role, it's Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes. That's again a different setup to Chiles and Bleakley, who were equals in the partnership.

That's all very true, so if Eamonn had gone back to GMTV/Daybreak, who do you think might have partnered him?

But he didn't so why all the speculation?!

A quick Google would give some suggestions. Remember it was only speculation he was headed for/ in talks with GMTV in the first place.
