Now they've got another random correspondent with no background in defence covering what arguably is a rather major news area... One wonders if it'll work out this time.

David Bowden was appointed Defence Correspondent to replace Sam Kiley. I imagine Alistair Bunkall will be his deputy in the role.

Perhaps their sharing the role. David Bowden would be a good appointment IMO. He has good experience in the field.
Karim Gohary is back again on the midnight news, made two mistakes and stutters already, possibly the worst news presenter that Sky have ever had, why oh why don't they just use someone else? There are many other, far better cover presenters and freelancers that Sky have access to.
Gemma Morris, Phillipa Hall and Chloe Potter, Hannah Tallett etc are all far better but never seem to appear at all now. Even the reporters who occasionally are in the studio reading news are better than this guy
For the last few months they've not appeared anywhere, whereas previously they'd pop up every now and then but it was pretty rare, but this guy shouldn't even be allowed on TV as he's terrible. Why they can't go back to using the news active staff, the more long term freelancers who have been used, or even the reporters who used to cover I don't know. They are FAR better.
This guy right now is making the station look amateur, he is hopelessly out of his depth and continually makes mistakes including a big gaffe just now followed by more stuttering. "Europe's largest steel plants (long pause) has ((long pause) erm (pause), we'll move to a different item"
I could reel off another half a dozen names as well as the ones I mentioned in the last post who have done midnight news in the past six months who are much better, Gamal Fahnbulleh, Isabel Webster, Sam Washington, Charlotte Lomas-Farley, Lisa Knights,and Jannat Jalil are all far better.
Normally I don't particuararly like him, but can bear him, but last night he was simply awful, the clip you gave was funny yes, but looking around twitter last night lots of people had many negative things to say about him, so i twasn't just me.
