Do they not use the middle of the overnight shift e.g. 1-3 to train reporters on news presenting as it is the least watched, I believe.
So Phillipa will start at Midnight, disappear at CBS News and then reappear at Sky World News.

Sam Kiley has been appointed Middle East Correspondent
So what happens to Emma Hurd? Could she pick up the role of Holly Williams?
Nope. Mark Stone is the new Beijing Correspondent.
"Sam replaces Emma Hurd who has decided to return to South Africa, she will continue to work for Sky on a freelance basis".
So that practically means Emma has left Sky News? Her biography is also gone from corporate site. It is a huge loss. And can't see much of Emma reporting from South Africa even freelance, while Alex Crawford is still correspondent there. May be they will move Alex and basically shut the bureau? Not really much of news coming from it, really.
Sam Kiley is moving to the Middle East, along with new Middle East News Editor Tom Rayner. Mark Stone will be in Beijing and Hannah Thomas-Peter will focus on New York.
The main reason for all this shuffling around in the last couple of years was of a result of moving Alex Crawford to South Africa from Dubai.
It is clear that Emma Hurd did not want to move to Jerusalem and have obviously 'settled' in Johannesburg.
They should have left Alex Crawford in Dubai and left Emma Hurd in Johannesburg and stationed Chief Correspondent Stuart Ramsay in Jerusalem.
Now we have a situation where Sky have to get a new Defence correspondent as Sam Kiley is moving to Jerusalem and are losing one of their best assets in Emma Hurd who was a very decent foreign correspondent. Along with that Mark Stone I believe wont be utilised to his potential in Beijing. I don't like the duo of Waghorn and Milam in Washington as I think they are too similar in their reporting.
On the plus side I think Hanah Thomas Peters has proven her worth in New York and I think Sky's best foreign correspondent nowadays is Robert Nisbet who is a sublime correspondent who can proficiently and effectively report on any story pretty much at any time.

Is Holly Williams actually still at Sky? She has not been around for ages and is a real loss.
What is the story with Lukwesa also? Apart from the fact she's looked very annoyed on screen lately, she's been off air more than she has been on Monday to Thursday for the last six months.
She's been dropped from the press office website also.
I see former BBC man Matt Gooderick is doing the sport on Sky News this afternoon . . . seemingly following Celina Hinchliffe et al down the freelance route.
