I only managed to see the last 20 minutes of sunrise. How did Niall do? it seems Sky have been looking for a new role for him ever since he was demoted as Defence Correspondent.

To be fair, quite a few other reporters and newsreaders have been shuffled around in the last couple of weeks or so, probably to coincide with holiday season for the more regular newsreaders. This morning, Patterson didn't do a bad job, although understandably his heavy accent made it hard to hear some of the names that cropped up.
Don't mean to sound like I'm coming across all critical, it's just I grew up (during the 90s) listening to the BBC, with its principle of "received pronunciation". Seems we've moved away from that school of thought in recent years.

You should've heard it in the sixties when I grew up. All cut glaaaass.
