Sky Sports News will start providing the Sky News sports bulletins from their studios between 1200 and 1400 and during the evening news wheel, each weekday .

Suggests no changes to the weekend sports coverage?

Jacquie Beltrao is in New York next week, it was mentioned on Sunrise this morning, so it's unlikely we'll be seeing her role in the new sports area, although her job probably won't change much when she returns anyway.

I remember her tweeting a few weeks ago that the changes meant she was getting an increase in airtime as opposed to a decrease.

If the press release about Sky Sports News taking over from midday on weekdays is correct, she's probably going from the start of Sunrise until 12pm, whereas I believe she finishes around 10am currently. I'm not too sure though.

I'd presume there would be an area in the SSN studio for the sports bulletins, they certainly won't be simulcasted.

Yep, separate area.

Probably then. Media Guardian had worded it differently with no indication the lunchtime changes were weekday only
"Sky Sports News, which owner BSkyB plans to remove from Freeview and put behind its paywall in a bid to drive subscription revenues, will now provide Sky News sports bulletins between midday and 2pm and on the weekday evening news shows."

Her last bulletin is 10.20. Currently Jon Desborough does the next bulletin at 11.20

I Think she would be a lot better off to remain at sky because in 1-2 years she will probably have a main presenting job sky highly rate her and she is almost like a co-presenter to Eammon theres been rumours about her moving before and its almost like a Adrian + Christine if Eammon had gone to GMTV/Daybreak she would probably follow suit . Also BBC Have a strategy of looking within and have not poached a newscaster in quite a while last one being Nicholas Owen and look where he ended up 9-12 on a Sunday shift.

Even if she got a main presenting job at Sky, it would be nothing compared to the exposure of being a newsreader at the BBC. It's a totally different world in terms or public profile. Outside the cozy world of TV newsroom forums, no one on the high street knows anyone at Sky News. They know who reads the news on BBC One and ITV1.

Charlotte is an excellent newsreader but a terrible ad-libber. I like to see the mix of the two in a presenter. She would be better off at the Beeb.

Do they really? I would guess they would remember their face but doubt their name. To be honest no newsreaders on BBC or ITV currently except for Alistair Stewart is worth remembering.

Huw has been made a star out of nothing, because I think he is a poor presenter and so is Mark Austin.
